Maggie

Health & Wellness Coach

In eighth grade, I was elected “class chatterbox” as part of the class superlative process that saw others with more glamorous titles, such as “Most Popular” and “Most Likely to Succeed.”

I was devastated. I felt shamed. I felt the world was telling me to be quiet.

Now I am proud of that title. Because I have found in the world of words—written and spoken—there is insight, influence, and expression.

I since went on to become a corporate trainer, teaching thousands of students for dozens of clients ranging from government agencies, to corporate 500 companies to even Yale University staff. My topics range from business writing to AI to mindfulness to leadership, and many more. And I’ve worked as a freelance journalist, publishing too many articles to count.

The common denominator: communication. Words have power. Words have energy. Words can change hearts and minds. They can be diplomatic and kind and life changing.

I first came to Birch and Stone as a member, following Emily Brower, who I admired as a coach on another platform. When I arrived, I found she had created a community permeated by positivity. I felt strongly that this was something that I wanted to be a part of as a coach.

I am excited to share classes entered on compassionate communication, guiding members  to explore the rich landscape of language in their professional and personal lives. Staying grounded in communication allows us to communicate with intention and impact.

Specialties: Communication, Workplace and Retirement, Wellness, Leadership, Mindfulness.
